Are you looking for that "special" place where you can really get away  from the hustle and bustle of everyday life?  The Kootenai Cabin offers the perfect location for rest, relaxation, or a wonderful family vacation.  Don't forget to bring your mountain bike or horse, as this cabin backs right up to National Forest!...And, it's only 35 minutes outside of Eureka, Montana.

Description:

The Kootenai Cabin is a Montana Amish log cabin home which is perfect for two or four will comfortably accommodate up to six guests and backs up to thousands of acres of National Forest just waiting to be explored!  This cabin has two private bedrooms (with wonderful views of the mountains) and one bathroom.   There's also a luxury coil spring futon in the living room.  This cabin has a kitchen and dining area, full size bathroom (with shower), living room with thermostatically controlled stove, and a washer and dryer.  

NOTE FOR THOSE WHO LOVE CONSERVATION:  This cabin will have electric utilities provided by wind generator and solar panels.  In addition there will be propane for kitchen and heating stoves, hot water heater, and for the dryer.  A wonderful off-the-grid experience!

With off-the-grid electric you'll need to be ready to conserve energy whenever possible...Remember to keep light use minimized (i.e. don't forget and leave those deck lights on all night - and remember to keep your shower time short.)

This cabin has a large oversized deck area with BBQ overlooking the Canadian Rockies.  Note - The field in the above picture is in Canada!

The views from this cabin and large deck are breathtaking!

Note:  With the rental of The Kootenai Cabin you'll also have use of a paddleboat, first come, first serve (it can be reserved free of charge for a specific day) on Carpenter Lake - Carpenter Lake is stocked with rainbow and native cutthroat trout.

No pets allowed in the cabin [ NO Pets in the Cabin ]- a 10 x 10 dog kennel (with a view) is provided when you're not out with your dog exploring the National Forest area right in your own backyard.  Please notify us in advance if you're bringing your dog with you.
